Winter Wonderland at Congress Hall

Thanksgiving is over and that means it is time to start the annual Winter Wonderland festivities at Congress Hall, hotel located in Cape May, New Jersey.

Winter Wonderland runs every weekend from November 23, 2012, to December 23, 2012.  The activities vary from Friday to Sunday.  While the activities are changing guests can always find Breakfast with Santa Claus on Saturday morning or Story Time with Mrs. Claus.

“Congress Hall’s Winter Wonderland is exactly that, a Winter Wonderland,” says Amanda Romolini, concierge for the hotel.

On Friday, Congress Hall started the festivities with their hot chocolate bars and Christmas tree sales.  For a fee of 3 dollars children can take a ride on a train around the premises.  Saturday, however, is when children can meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus.  Breakfast with Santa in the morning is followed by Story Time with Mrs. Claus.  Saturday evening Congress Hall also has a concert on their veranda.  To finish out their first weekend of Winter Wonderland Congress Hall, on Sunday, offered train rides and gingerbread house making with Mrs. Claus, along with other activities. “A neat feature this year is the floating fire pit in the pool,” according to Romolini.

While these activities happen every weekend for the next month, Congress Hall offers a few special events.  Friday, November 30, 2012, Congress Hall will be hosting its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.  The tree this year is covered with 8,000 lights.  The ceremony also includes a performance by the Congress Hall Festival Choir.

Congress Hall suggests making reservations for events with Santa Claus and his wife.  After Christmas the hotel will only be offering, at this time, the hot chocolate bar and train rides until the end of December.
